April Michelle Bowlby (born 30 July 1980) is best known for her recurring role as Alan Harper's ditzy girlfriend (later wife, then ex-wife) Kandi on Two and a Half Men. She was born in Vallejo, California, and moved to Manteca, California, as a child. She studied ballet, French, and marine biology at Moorpark College before deciding to pursue an acting career. She studied drama with Ivana Chubbuck and secured a role in a major television series (Kandi in Two and a Half Men) within months of her first Hollywood audition. April is currently single and resides in Los Angeles. April has natural red hair and blue eyes.
Bowlby decided to become an actress because a friend suggested it, and began studying acting with Ivanna Chubbuck. A few months later, she auditioned for a couple of lines in TWO AND A HALF MEN and secured the role of Kandi.
She also guest appeared in CSI:NY as Jenny Lee in chapter Crime and Misdemeanor (2005) and CSI:Las Vegas as Kaitlin Rackish in episode What's eating Gilbert Grissom (2004).
